6-8 pm Drinks, Snacks, & A View: Let’s meet at the top of the Embassy Suites at Soprana, a rooftop pizza bar (192 Haywood St., Asheville, NC 28801, street parking or valet parking). They’ve got a full menu and one of the best views in town. Get your welcome gift bag and scavenger hunt instructions here!

After, we can wander into downtown to see where the night takes us!

8:30 am MORNING COFFEE: If you’re up for it, I’ll be at Cooperative Coffee (210 Haywood Rd, Asheville, NC 28806) before adventures start!

9 am I’ll place an order for takeout at Taco Billy across the street- text me your order if you want me to order for you to take on the hike! Otherwise, BYO lunch!! (Ultra and Mamacitas are good takeout lunch options.)

10 am -3ish LUNCHTIME OPTIONS:

1. Downtown: Wander the shops and art galleries of Asheville, coffee from Farewell and Rowan, lunch at Green Sage, the wine at Eulogy, the books at Malaprops, the plants at Green Room, and chocolate every way between Chocolate Fetish and French Broad! (Just some of my recs:))

2. Hike to lunch: Meet at 10 am at the Dollar General in Black Mountain (129 Old Hwy 70 E, Black Mountain, NC 28711) to carpool up to the trailhead for the Lookout Trail in Montreat (this is my plan- and the photo above!) It’s a little steep at the beginning, but lots of ways to hike this!

3. Mountain-biking: For anyone who needs to shred!! Launching from Bent Creek.

Between treks and the evening party, you’re welcome to rest up or hang at my place!

5-11ish pm MAIN EVENT!

At the Pond Retreat Center (18 Garren Mtn Lane, Fairview, 28730)- follow signs for parking and carpool if you can! Come put your feet in the creek, play lawn games, and celebrate everybody turning 40 this year!! We’ll have dinner & drinks (BYO beer/wine), and as the sun goes down, live music followed by a bonfire and s’mores with the fireflies and frogs, and more music:). Anyone’s welcome to camp out overnight, especially if you plan on drinking!

10 am - 12 pm LAZY BRUNCH: We’ll be cooking up breakfast burritos at Urban Orchard Cidery! (24 Buxton Ave, Asheville, NC 28801, street parking available.) Scavenger hunt answers are DUE by noon to win the prizes:). If your travel plans permit you to stay later than this, please let me know!
